The monotherapy study used a pooled placebo group

Observed weight changes and modeled comparisons differ
The posted primary table reports mean weight changes of −6.1% to −10.8% across cagrilintide groups and −3.0% for pooled placebo. CagriSema evidence concerns a combination
NCT04982575 enrolled 92 participants with type 2 diabetes and compared combination therapy with its individual components. Its primary comparison was 32-week HbA1c change for cagrilintide plus semaglutide versus semaglutide, not proof that cagrilintide alone produced the combination’s result. NCT04982575 ↗
An outcome denominator is not total enrollment
The combination study’s primary registry table includes 30 evaluable participants in each of the two compared groups, within a three-arm trial. Its selected diabetes population and background medication also differ from the monotherapy weight study. NCT04982575 ↗

- Appraise later monotherapy and CagriSema reports separately, including discontinuation and safety denominators.
